“She Still to This Day…”: Dana White Makes Major Revelation About His Relationship With Ronda Rousey

Dana White is one of the most influential personalities in the MMA world. The UFC boss can be singled out not only for the rise of the UFC but also for combat sports like MMA. During his illustrious tenure in the UFC, Dana White has formed some admirable relationships with his fighters. Recently, he appeared in Paddy Pimblett’s podcast on his YouTube channel. In the ‘Ask Paddy’ segment of the podcast, White revealed that there is one fighter that still texts him and thanks him for what he has done.

The UFC boss revealed that he has a very close relationship with some former fighters on the UFC roster.

Dana White’s relationship with Ronda Rousey

Dana White signed Ronda Rousey as the first female fighter in the UFC in November 2012. Since then, White and Rousey have contributed to each other’s success in the MMA world.

“She still to this day sends me texts. Like her home she has in Hawaii, you know, she got a home in Southern California. She built some crazy … zombie apocalypse ranch in Oregon or something like that. She got all these different places and she will still send me texts and say that ‘It’s all because of you and thank you so much for believing in me and giving me the platform to change my life,'” Dana answered a fan’s question in Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett’s show.

“She just had a baby and all that stuff. She is one of the all-time greatest athletes that I have ever worked with,”  Dana continued.

Dana White on starting women’s division in UFC

The UFC boss has formerly stated that he was skeptical of forming a women’s division in the UFC. In an interview with Ronda Rousey on Rowdy’s places, Dana White said he had a tough time getting men to fight in the cage, let alone women. Ronda Rousey was pivotal in changing his mind about forming a women’s division, as White revealed.

Currently, there are a total of four women’s divisions in the UFC. The boss looks back and credits Rousey for this success.

Dana White has countless times praised his former UFC star by admiring her professionalism and grit. The feeling is mutual, as Ronda Rousey is grateful for the opportunities that the UFC boss has provided for her career. It will be interesting to see if White and Rousey ever work together in the future.
