Irish mixed martial artist Conor McGregor has turned out as the biggest superstar UFC has ever seen. No prior or future star can match the massive impact he has had both on this sport and on the world. He is among the few names who broke the norm and tried his hands at boxing while holding titles in two different weight classes in the UFC.

Moreover, his star power, trash-talking ability, and mammoth PPV sales have contributed to his rise into a global celebrity, that even other sports personalities cannot ignore.

Legendary NBA player and a retired veteran, Shaquille O’Neal, was spotted imitating McGregor’s famous strut. O’Neal is a massive fan of mixed martial arts and he has even been training for a long time. Together with the former NBA player and analyst, Charles Barkley once again revisited the famous incident that involved Marc Gasol, who impersonated ‘The Notorious’ one back in 2016.

Conor McGregor is eyeing the welterweight title for his UFC comeback

After suffering two devastating losses at the hands of Dustin ‘The Diamond’ Poirier, McGregor seems to be done with the lightweight division. In his time away from the octagon, due to an unfortunate injury that he suffered at UFC 264, he hasn’t been able to train for a long time.

However, this hasn’t deterred the Irish mixed martial artist from taking aim at the welterweight kingpin and the current pound-for-pound greatest fighter in the world, Kamaru Usman.

According to a report by ESPN, McGregor is still looking to chase his goal of winning his third world title.

In a video posted on the MacLife YouTube channel, he said,” Myself versus Usman for the 170-pound title in my comeback fight is the one I’m eyeballing at the minute. Why cut the weight? I’ve already won the 155-pound title. I got myself to a lightweight frame, but you know, I’m big now. I feel big. I feel strong. I feel healthy. I’ve got good energy. I’m coming back from a gruesome injury. I don’t want to be depleting myself. There should be no need to deplete myself.”
