Dustin Poirier with a Heartwarming Gesture Towards Beirut Explosion Tragedy

‘The Good Fight Foundation’ was started by Dustin Poirier in an attempt to help various humanitarian causes around the world. Most recently, he has circled in his efforts towards the devastating explosion that took place in Beirut, Lebanon.

Chiefly, he praised a Lebanese-American fighter on the Bellator roster, who fought at Bellator 243 on August 7. Sabah Homasi pledged to help his country, who are on the wrong side of a massive setback. Moreover, Poirier used his platform to ensure that Homasi was getting the proper exposure for his actions.

The Middle Eastern country was in the midst of an economic crisis when the explosion hit on August 4. Additionally, the sitting government has stepped away from Office, leaving the nation to pick up the pieces. Dustin Poirier and Homasi’s combined efforts to raise $10,000 in donations will go a long way to help Beirut.

He is endeared by the fans who have watched him evolve both inside and outside the octagon of the UFC. The former interim champion was victorious in his most recent outing against top contender Dan Hooker. The lightweights were part of an instant classic bout that stands to be a ‘Fight of the Year’ candidate. Going into the aforementioned fight, he was coming off the longest lay-off of his professional career.

He reached the pinnacle of success within combat sports when he fought Khabib Nurmagomedov for the undisputed gold strap. Although he came up short in the bout, his profile has grown more than ever. Additionally, he managed to launch ‘The Good Fight Foundation’ and helped to boost its profile and visibility.
