Former UFC Middleweight and Welterweight fighter, Matt Riddle, is all set to make his debut on the SmackDown label of the WWE.
Riddle parted ways with the UFC after the promotion fired him due to a positive marijuana test. However, he amassed quite a decent reputation even in the short while that he was there. His professional MMA record is an impressive 8-3-2.

He recently appeared in an interview with Ariel Helwani as he geared up to step into the vast universe of WWE.
Matt Riddle answers questions about the current situation with Jorge Masvidal and Jon Jones
Fighters like “Gamebred” and Jones have been at war with the promotion regarding pay discrepancies. While the issues for Masvidal arose when he was unable to reach an agreement regarding the fight purse for his title fight with Kamaru Usman, “Bones” decided to vacate his title as the UFC was unwilling to finance his shift up to Heavyweight.

“It’s just unfortunate because you got world-class talent. Working for a ‘world-class’ company. And they don’t wanna pay their athletes what they should. They don’t wanna give them what they’re worth.”

However, Chipper did clarify that this does not mean that everyone gets amazing pay. After all, outcomes depend on performance.
“If I’m not selling the merch? If I’m not bringing in people to come to see it, or if people aren’t tuning in for my segments on TV? Don’t pay me then. I’m being honest. A lot of people ask for more than their worth. I don’t think these guys are asking for more than their worth.”

“Be it Masvidal, be it Jon Jones. They’re putting bu**s in seats. People want to see these entertaining fighters fight. It’s just when the fight game is in the kind of situation that it is, it’s hard. You know, it stinks. This would be the time where fighters need to stand up for themselves.”
