On his YouTube channel, Darren Till gave his opinion on the first-ever UFC women’s bantamweight champion – Ronda Rousey.

Till claims to be a huge fan of Ronda.

“I have always been a proper, big fan of Ronda. She is not a bad looking girl for a fighter.” Till said. “Her judo was phenomenal; just the way she would always get the armbar from every position, or she’d hip throw someone, etc.”

Ronda was known for her quick finishes in the UFC. Just a few of her fights went past the first round. Once she got a hold of her opponent, ‘Rowdy’ would take them down and submit them with her signature armbar.

Darren Till praises Ronda Rousey for putting Women’s MMA on the map

Women’s MMA in the UFC was non-existent before Ronda. When Dana White introduced the women’s division in the company, Ronda was the inaugural women’s bantamweight champion.

“Without Ronda, there would be no Amanda Nunes, Holly Holm, Miesha Tate, Jessica Andrade, Rose Namajunas, Joanna, Weili Zhang. I don’t think they’d exist.” Till said. “She is the star, the pioneer.”

Although Till appreciated his idol, he did acknowledge her flaws.

For the past few days, Ronda has been a hot topic of discussion because of her comments about WWE fans. The American lashed out at the “ungrateful” fans and trashed the pro-wrestling business. While some believe that it is a work of WWE, others feel that Rousey might be voicing out her true feelings.

Even the Executive Vice President of WWE, Paul Levesque did not provide any clarity.

Nevertheless, Rousey has been criticized for mishandling judgment. Till said that she handles negativity poorly because she takes the insults personally.

“Most general things which are bullshit, she takes it so much to heart,” Till said.

In the past, Rousey faced backlash for her comments on suicide following her loss to Holly Holm. She returned to fight Amanda Nunes for the bantamweight strap after taking a year off. During the buildup, Rousey avoided all media obligations to avoid criticism.

Unfortunately for Ronda, Amanda stopped her within the first minute. Her fight with Nunes was her last appearance inside the cage. She then transitioned to pro-wrestling and put up impeccable performances in the WWE ring. However, after her loss at Wrestlemania 35, she went on a hiatus yet again.
