Former UFC Champion Given the Tom Brady Treatment by Manchester United

Manchester United loves champion athletes. One of the recent examples of such was seen with the way they received the legendary quarterback Tom Brady.

Likewise, the pioneer of UK MMA recently had heroes welcome at Old Trafford.

During his active career, Michael Bisping was one of those fighters fans loved to hate. However, after retirement, the UFC Hall of Famer received nothing but love from MMA fans around the world.

“Big thanks to Man United for the hospitality last night,” wrote ‘The Count’.

‘The Count’ with his wife Rebecca Bisping, visited Old Trafford and shared the experience.

Bisping was the first fighter from the UK to hold a UFC championship. Thus, he is highly regarded in the region.

Earlier, Brady had met Cristiano Ronaldo and the team at Old Trafford.

Many believe Brady’s coming out of retirement had something to do with his interactions with Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Ultimate Fighter Season 3 winner, Bisping, had a terrific start to his UFC career, winning his four fights inside the octagon. However, after his first loss to Rashad Evans at UFC 78, ‘The Count’ was always fell short when it mattered the most.

The middleweight fighter had several small runs, but was never able to compete for the UFC championship. However, he kept grinding, and finally, at UFC 199, he had an opportunity and perhaps the first and last one.

Coming off a movie set to fighting the middleweight champion of the world, who had already beaten him in a lopsided contest, Bisping had a mountain to climb. However, ‘The Count’ was never shy of grinding it out. He did the same and found the finish when no one gave him any chance.

A timely counter and Michael Bisping became the first UK fighter to call himself a UFC champion. Thus, even at the end of his career, he was a world-class fighter and was able to achieve the ultimate prize in the UFC.
