Things are getting really interesting in the lightweight division. We have a much-anticipated fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson coming up in April. And the winner is likely to fight Conor McGregor with the title on the line. That seems very likely to happen. But if Khabib wins the fight he will be available to defend his title again in the later part of this year. Meanwhile, Conor McGregor who is planning to stay busy and fight 3 times this year might not wait for that long to get back into the octagon. So he can fight either Justin Gaethje or Jorge Masvidal. However, if  Ferguson beats Khabib Nurmagomedov the whole dynamics of the division will change. Conor will have to take on Ferguson if he wants to get the lightweight title.

Though speculating a rematch between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov is exciting how could someone sleep on Tony Ferguson who has been unbeaten since 2012.
