Conor McGregor has always been very open about his feelings towards those who work in the WWE. McGregor has criticized numerous WWE stars on multiple occasions. However, John Cena finds himself at the receiving end of McGregor’s critique more often than not.

Brock Lesnar has also found himself at the receiving end of his jabs. McGregor’s actions then prompted responses from the likes of Sheamus as well as Cena himself. The back and forth went on for quite some time. McGregor, during a UFC 202 media scrum went all out on The Face that Runs the Place.

“What’s the main guy? John Cena. He’s 40 years of age. He’s walking around in a luminous orange t-shirt and a headband talking about nobody can see him. We can see him right there. He’s a big fat, 40-year-old failed Mr. Olympia mother f*cker.”- Conor McGregor

Following these statements, fans and fighters took to social media to respond to the Irishman. Above all pro wrestling legend, Ric Flair ripped McGregor for his comments. Even though McGregor lauded Flair for being a legend in his domain.

In addition to ripping Cena, McGregor responded to Flair’s comment as well at the media scrum.

“I don’t know what to say to Ric Flair, This ain’t no gimmick. This is the real sh*t. I’ve gotta get in and fight a man for real. With no script, with no nothing. He was talking about bringing some other wrestler guys out to challenge me. Come bring it, then. This is the real shit over here. You know want to come over, we can fight no problem. A few of them are talking about the street and all. If they want to do that, come at me and see what happens.”- Conor McGregor

McGregor went on to call fighters from the WWE ‘dweebs’ however went on to single out John Cena.

If McGregor continues to take shots at the WWE it may also lead to a crossover fight. Something that will bring both the powerhouses of the combat sports industry together.
