The Slam last of the year, US Open 2019 has unveiled its draw, but sadly, few of the former champions and other players will be absenting themselves from the US Open 2019 tournament due to their prevailing injuries, recoveries and personal commitments.
Juan Martin Del Potro
The reigning finalist at US Open 2019, Del Potro is recovering from his right knee surgery which took place in the month of June and his return to the circuit is undetermined.

Amanda Anisimova
The US Open 2017 junior champion, Anisimova withdrew from the Premier Five events in the North American swing due to her back injury. Now, due to her father’s demise this week, Anisimova will not be seen at US Open 2019.
Kevin Anderson
The 2017 finalist at the US Open, Anderson became a last-minute withdrawal from the draw. He has been plagued with injuries this season and now due to his right knee’s dilemma, the South African withdrew from the last Slam of the year.
Marketa Vondrousova
This year’s French Open finalist, Vondrousova was drawn to open against Viktorija Golubic from Switzerland, but due to her wrist injury, she withdrew from the US Open draw.
Milos Raonic
The Canadian became a last-minute withdrawal due to his on-going glute injury.
Elena Vesnina
Former champion, Vesnina is on her maternity hiatus and hence she won’t be seen at US Open 2019.
Katie Boulter
Due to her back injury issues, Boulter will be absent from the US Open 2019.
Sania Mirza
Former champion at the US Open, Mirza will be returning to the circuit in January 2020 after her maternity hiatus and the Tokyo Olympics is Sania’s next goal.
Mackenzie McDonald
McDonald won’t be participating in the US major this year.
Vera Zvonareva
Former finalist, Zvonareva has withdrawn from the US Open due to her left wrist injury.
Anna Karolina Schmiedlova
Schmiedlova has been sidelined from the New York major due to left knee injury.
Beatriz Haddad Maia
Maia has withdrawn from the US Open.
Dominika Cibulkova
Cibulkova won’t be present at the New York major.
Marta Kostyuk
Kostyuk will be absent from this year’s US Open.
CiCi Bellis
Billis has been struggling with a terrible elbow injury that required multiple surgeries and hence she is sidelined from the US major.
Ekaterina Makarova
