The Slam last of the year, US Open 2019 has unveiled its draw, but sadly, few of the former champions and other players will be absenting themselves from the US Open 2019 tournament due to their prevailing injuries, recoveries and personal commitments.

The reigning finalist at US Open 2019, Del Potro is recovering from his right knee surgery which took place in the month of June and his return to the circuit is undetermined.

Amanda Anisimova

The US Open 2017 junior champion, Anisimova withdrew from the Premier Five events in the North American swing due to her back injury. Now, due to her father’s demise this week, Anisimova will not be seen at US Open 2019.

The 2017 finalist at the US Open, Anderson became a last-minute withdrawal from the draw. He has been plagued with injuries this season and now due to his right knee’s dilemma, the South African withdrew from the last Slam of the year.
