Skiing was introduced to Vonn by her grandfather Don Kildow during her childhood days. She made her Olympic debut at the 2002 Winter Olympics when she was only 17. Since then, the athlete never looked back or slacked off from her routine and goals.
In season 3 of Running Wild with Bear Grylls, Von revealed her top-most secret that might have added to her victory during the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.

Vonn’s secret to 2010 victory might leave you in shock
Running Wild with Bear Grylls is undoubtedly one of the shows where celebrities and athletes spilled a lot of inside stories. Lindsey Vonn was invited as a guest in the show in episode 5 of season 3. There, the star skier ended up talking about banana bread, which apparently was a catalyst for her triumph of that season.
“I made a lot of banana bread,” said the Olympic champion. “I think my coaches all gained at least 10 lbs.”

Although her dating life has had several fluctuations, her professional life was mostly in balance. Furthermore, Vonn’s performance didn’t deteriorate even after splitting with her ex-boyfriend, Tiger Woods. According to her, the season after her divorce was the best season in her entire career.

“It took me three Olympics to figure it out … the whole world is watching you, and there’s a reason why people that are expected to win at the Olympics usually don’t. It’s just too much pressure.” she opened up to Grylls.
Although Vonn found her way to stay focused, many find it back-breaking to deal with the Olympics. It’s not easy since it took three years for the athlete to figure a way out.
