Usain Bolt is arguably the greatest sprinter of all time. The Jamaican sprinter is widely regarded as the “fastest human being ever timed.” Bolt has too many “first” world records written to his name in the history of the sport. Though Bolt retired in 2017, his speed during his prime days earned him the nickname “the lightning Bolt.” Sadly, the lightning Bolt is currently going through the darkest time of his life.

An employee of his investment firm recently scammed Bolt of his entire retirement funds. Faced with tough times, the Jamaican sprinter has once again found solace in sprinting. Ever since the news broke out, Bolt has been posting cryptic messages on Twitter. This has become a cause of concern for the fans who are worried about the athletes’ current state. However, his most recent update gives a little breather to fans, as the athlete seems to have found his way back to his roots.

On 25 January 2023, the Legendary Jamaican sprinter posted a video update on Twitter. The 19-second video featured the lighting Bolt back on the track ready to race against light again. While the video did not feature Bolt finishing a 100m sprint, it captured Bolt, in slow motion, starting off the race. The video was not accompanied by any caption.

Although the sprinter hasn’t officially been on track since August 2017, this recent video is bound to bring back old memories for the fans. Despite having retired nearly half a decade ago, Bolt continues to dominate the record lists. Bolt still holds the world record in the 100m and 200m categories.

Though the video does not give away much information about how the athlete is currently doing, it gave enough of an idea about what Bolt is doing to cope with the loss.
