Seattle Mariners legend, Ichiro Suzuki is one of the most humble players in MLB history, and he proved it by accepting a special request for high school kids. Ichiro is the future Hall of Famer for the Seattle Mariners after having a splendid career in baseball.
The 48-year-old retired in 2019, having spent most of his career with the Mariners. However, he also had minor stints with the New York Yankees and the Miami Marlins.

Ichiro Suzuki surprises kids with magnificent home runs
After enjoying a rewarding baseball career, Ichiro acquired certification to become a coach for high schoolers. Notably, Kokugakuin Kugayama High School in Suginami Ward, Tokyo’s baseball team, sent Ichiro a heartfelt invitation to visit their school, which he most gladly accepted.
Ichiro surprised the school students by appearing during one of their practice sessions. Not only did he visit them, but he also treated them to his vintage striking. Naturally, the baseball team looked absolutely thrilled, witnessing their baseball icon smash one home run after another. Suzuki also passed tips and tricks on stealing bases in baseball to his young fans.

Remarkably, in 2020, Ichiro Suzuki also coached the Chiben Wakayama high school players in western Japan. Moreover, he is planning to visit more schools in Japan, aiming to grow the sport in his home country.
Notably, while Ichiro is out of Major League Baseball as a player, he still contributes to the league in a different role.

Ichiro Suzuki is currently serving as the instructor for Seattle Mariners for both the Major League team and its Triple-A affiliate in nearby Tacoma; his official title is special assistant to the chairman.

Ichiro is passing on his 19-years of experience in outfield play, baserunning, and hitting. The Japanese MLB star had clinched the All-Star award ten times from 2001-2010. He was the AL MVP and AL Rookie of the Year in 2001. Additionally, he has also secured the gold glove ten times, adding to a long list of his achievements.
