Decorated Olympian snowboarder, Shaun White, called an end to his storied career after the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022. The three-time Olympic gold medalist failed to medal in any event at the 2022 Winter Olympics but left the sport happy, courtesy of a stellar career.

Now, there are plenty of pies for White to dip his fingers into, since he no longer has to handle the grind of the sport. Not only does White have business ventures and documentaries to handle, but he also has a bucket list of things to do.

However, it seems that you can’t take the ‘sport’ out of a sportsperson, as Shaun now tries his hand at a new sport.

Shaun White tries his hand at a new sport

As the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022 came to an end, so did Shaun White‘s fabled career. White’s three Olympic gold medals are the most Olympic medals by a snowboarder.

Hence, he remains one of the only two to successfully defend their Olympic gold medal at the snowboarding halfpipe event. The other person is his compatriot and two-time Olympic gold medalist Chloe Kim.

Now that he has retired from snowboarding, White has plenty on his plate to do. There is WHITESPACE, his clothing and snowboarding apparel line, which he initially launched in 2016.

Additionally, he is also collaborating with streaming network Discovery+ on a three-part docuseries about his life and career. In fact, apart from all of this, he also has a personal bucket list that he will be looking to complete now.

However, before all of that, White seems to be trying his hand at a new sport. Celebrating the birthday of popular American actor, Miles Teller, White attended Teller’s birthday party with romantic partner Nina Dobrev.

Shaun White, on his Instagram stories, shared a small boomerang clip of himself playing table tennis against Teller. Undoubtedly, if White were to put his mind to it, he just might end up with some gold medals at ping-pong, as well!

However, for White, “there is so much to be done outside of that world” of snowboarding. Sharing his excitement to explore a world without snowboarding being the center, White revealed that his girlfriend Nina Dobrev helped him figure out what he wanted to do.

“My girlfriend said if you’re retiring you gotta make this list of things you wanna do,” Shaun said. In fact, as soon as he landed home from Beijing, he was able to complete one of the things on his list.

White attended the Super Bowl LVI with Nina. Surprisingly, he had never attended a Super Bowl, owing to his busy schedule of snowboarding around the world.

Thus, it is safe to assume that White will be focusing on his personal bucket list just as much as he would on his other ventures post-retirement.
