Bodybuilding giant Flex Wheeler’s life has been wrought with injuries. What followed was a series of surgeries that further elongated his pain. He even lost his right leg, but he never seemed to give in to his struggles. Wheeler came out stronger, and the world supported him. However, in yet another unfortunate update, Wheeler has suffered yet another terrible injury. Fans who are feeling melancholic offered their sympathies for the four-time Arnold Classic Champion.

In his latest Instagram post, Wheeler detailed his present condition, his workout with his son, and the nature of his recent injury. Almost breaking down while narrating his difficulties, Wheeler also manages to slip in a little anecdote about a young boy who has been extremely inspirational to him. A little hope to brighten everyone’s day.

Flex Wheeler and his never-ending tryst with life’s pebbles

“It was so difficult because… but I ended up tearing my left rotator cuff again a couple of days ago. That’s my 3rd surgery on my left shoulder. And I still need to have the right side repaired”, Wheeler said while fighting off tears. He also said that due to his inability to rely on his left shoulder, his right shoulder has been under a lot of stress. This has started to take a toll on his right one.

Wheeler stated that his doctor believes it has created a bump on his right shoulder, possibly a swelling. In the end, he chalked it up to life and its nature of unfairness. However, the inspirational figure didn’t leave before sharing a little nugget of motivation for himself. A young boy who is a double amputee fights to live every day and has the mentality of a conqueror. Wheeler takes immense strength from his story.

Most of Wheeler’s difficulties stem from the 2019 amputation of his right leg. Faced with a threat to his life, Wheeler had to sacrifice his walking to save it. The problem traces its root to two decades back when he was diagnosed with a rare kidney disease. After the surgery, he even thanked Jesus when he took his first steps. But the struggles never stopped even after that.
