Though the World Believes Bodybuilding Is Heading Towards the Worst, Legend Jay Cutler Thinks It’s as “Exciting” as Ever

With the Arnold Classic just a few months away, the bodybuilding fraternity has girded up its loins. While contestants work on being at their physical best, retired bodybuilding experts are debating who might win the title. 4x Mr. Olympia champion, Jay Cutler also has a list of prospective winners prepared with him. Recently, Cutler talked about the upcoming Arnold Classic competition in his podcast Cutler Cast, and shared his perspective on who might take the title this year.

Interestingly, Jay Cutler believes that Derek Lunsford and Nick Walker are the dogged candidates who might “square off at this Arnold Classic”. Moreover, he believes that the world of bodybuilding has now become more “exciting” than ever.

In the latest episode of Cutler Cast, the bodybuilder opened up about what the spectators can expect from this year’s Arnold Classic. While discussing the potential contenders and their training montage, the 49-year-old stated, “you know what I love, bodybuilding is exciting again”.

Furthermore, Cutler drew parallels between his prime days and the current scenario that the bodybuilding world is posing. The 4x Mr. Olympia asserted to the host. “You’ve been at my peak and Ronnie Coleman and Phil Heath and this is exciting”.

Clearly, Jay Cutler is excited about the 2023 Arnold Classic. Cutler also revealed the candidate he is leaning toward the most.

Cutler sided with the 2nd runner-up of Mr. Olympia 2022

In December 2022, Nick ‘the Mutant’ Walker rose to fame after bagging 3rd place on the reverent stage of Mr. Olympia. With his symmetrical and meticulous physique, he received many plaudits and venerations from the bodybuilding fraternity. Now, having announced his participation in the Arnold Classic 2023, Walker has received praise from the legendary Jay Cutler. Cutler said, “I mean I would be leaning towards him to win it”.
