The bodybuilding tycoon Arnold Schwarzenegger has expertise in several other fields like acting, business, politics, and many more. No surprise that his children, specifically his second son Patrick Schwarzenegger, followed Arnold’s footsteps to success. Being a famous model, entrepreneur, and whatnot, Patrick has also shown interest in working with TV shows.

The lead hero of the Terminator franchise had no idea that his son was working in a spin-off of the TV series ‘The Boys’. Arnold hasn’t been keeping track of the recent superhero movies or series. This had led him about having not a single clue of what is even Patrick up to. Arnold was not only taken aback but also perplexed when Patrick showed him pictures from the set of The Boys spin-off.

Acting in movies wasn’t anything new for Patrick. He has been doing it since he was just 10 years old. He first starred in The Benchwarmers as ‘Jock Kid Game #3’. Despite all the roles he had played before, this was pretty unique for Arnold to handle. “He looked at me and he was like, ‘What the f*** are you filming?’ I was like, ‘It’s this show called The Boys,” Patrick said to his father. Arnold had no clue about the character since he hasn’t been following the current superhero movies or series. The legendary bodybuilder was taken aback by this.

“You have to watch an episode to understand it, or else I can’t articulate what happens in it,” Patrick said. It was obvious that since he wasn’t aware of anything, he was left in confusion. So Patrick recommended to his father that he watch the series ‘The Boys’ first before he could understand what his son was up to.

Homelander is a fan-favorite character in the series The Boys. The producers of the series reached out to Patrick Schwarzenegger for the role. Although the role went into the hands of the New Zealand star Antony Starr.

During the auditions, even Patrick had no idea what role he would play. The producers decided not to inform him before the audition. Patrick added, “They were just like ‘It’s about this. This is the character. This is what’s going to happen.” Unaware of the role he would play, Patrick just assumed things. He thought of something insane, as it was The Boys. It looks like even Patrick is a big fan of the series!
