Mr. Olympia 2022 has produced one of the biggest upsets in the history of bodybuilding. In fact, there was a massive shuffle in the top three in the Men’s Open category, as the defending champion Big Ramy fell to fifth place. However, what this also meant was that the Iranian bodybuilder Hadi Choopan was able to silence critics with a historic performance.

After the judges announced the results, Choopan called his coach Hany Rambod onto the stage. While this year’s results shocked many fans, Rambod stood up for his pupil on stage.

However, last year’s bronze medalist, Hadi Choopan, finally captured the Mr. Olympia title. “Everyone said that somebody with the wrong passport with the wrong language, who’s hearing impaired, is not gonna be a good representative of the sport,” said Choopan’s coach.

The coach’s response came as a response to the fact that Choopan had to face problems with visa approvals previously since he is unversed in the English language.
