Continuing, he narrated what took place when he visited the gym and saw the ‘big guy’. “I bought my first pair of posing trunks and he says, Zane, you need to get the body first and then get the trunks.” This honest response served as a strong reminder for Zane to give importance to developing his body first. 

Later, Zane went on to reveal unknown stories about his bodybuilding days. “I discovered weight training at age 14 and I started, saw progress right away”, he continued.

Further, Zane recounted that he first participated in an open novice contest when he was just eighteen years old. He described taking part in the Teenage Mr. America contest and securing third place. While ‘The Chemist’ trained for six days every week, Zane changed his training strategy during the 1960s. Earlier, his workout comprised of training the upper body on one day and legs on the other day. However, later, his new schedule consisted of three divisions. This novel routine involved training the legs on two days, doing workouts for the chest and back on the next two days, and performing exercises for the delts and arms on the remaining days.
