When it is a team performance and no one but you showed up at the event, what will you do? Well, one might panic and go home mortified with the situation, but not this 8-year-old cheerleader from Florida. Peyton Thorsby is an 8-year-old cheerleading enthusiast, who represented her team all on her own when her cohorts didn’t show up for the competition. More so, her confidence caught the spotlight on social media and the little girl now has a multitude of cheerleaders for her poised persona.
Recently, Florida State Fairgrounds organized a ‘Showcase of Championships Cheer Competition’, where the 8-year-old rose to the occasion by performing a cheerleading routine all by herself. While the routine needs the input of every team member, Thorsby defied the usual and went on to the podium with her nonchalance. Expressing her trust in the almighty, the little cheerleader asserted, “Jesus tells me to be brave, so I just went out there and was brave”. Nevertheless, the 8-year-old not only saved her team from forfeit, but she also won first place, beating down two other teams.
