Being the GOAT of gymnastics, Simone Biles’ withdrawal from the Tokyo Olympics raised a lot of eyebrows. Expected to hit her peak, Biles cited mental health concerns and decided to step back. Ever since, she has not returned to compete professionally.
However, Biles is busy now as we draw closer to her wedding day. But even though caught up in preparations, she recently spoke about her return to the sport.

Biles recently revealed that she has set goals for herself to come back to the sport. In an interview with USA Today, Biles opened up on her plans for the future as she aims to make a comeback to the sport.

Fans often regard the incredible gymnast as the greatest of all time. With four Olympic gold medals at the 2016 Rio Olympics, she garnered attention from all corners of the world. All her routines were incredible to watch. However, the phenomenon of ‘twisties’ derailed her plans in Tokyo. Now, putting the past where it belongs, Biles provided a positive update about her future in the sport.

“You just have to push out those negative views and just keep pushing. I want to see how much I’m capable of, how talented I can be. And that’s why I came back, just to not have any regrets if I look back in 10 years.”

“So now I can really say I have no regrets, but maybe I might push it a little bit more to see,” said Biles.
Staying in a positive mindset is what she is doing right now. Currently, she has seven Olympic medals. Despite missing the first few events in Tokyo, she returned to the competition and won a bronze medal.

With the 2024 Paris Olympics not far away now, Biles’ return will set the events on fire. However, in her absence in Tokyo, many other gymnasts stepped up to the plate and showcased their talents.
Suni Lee was among those who rose through the ranks and is now regarded as one of the best in the business. Her recent performances with the Auburn Tigers have seen her scoring perfect 10s in many events.
