Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez Once Paid Six-Figure amount for a Blank Hard-drive: Here’s Why

Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez was one of the best players of his time, no doubt about that. But his life has been full of controversies. There is another fact about A-Rod loves the limelight. Even years after his retirement, he never misses a single chance to get the headlines.

Be it on the field or off the field, A-Rod was one of the smartest players in Major League Baseball. Whenever he got into any trouble, he knew exactly what to do. But once in his life, a normal person fooled him for thousands of dollars.

Notably, A-Rod has always been the smart one in the room, but sometimes even the best one gets someone better than them. And this time it was A-Rod’s turn to pay the price to be the smartest. Yes, it’s hard to believe, but a guy sold a hard drive for a six-figure amount.

Why did Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez pay such a whopping amount for a hard drive?

Like earlier said, fooling A-Rod is not everybody’s cup of tea unless one has got something very special about them. Talking about the incident, Hollywood filmmaker Billy Corben revealed how A-Rod bought an empty hard drive. As per Corben, A-Rod believed that the guy who was selling the hard drive had some classified information.

But he got nervous and ended up deleting the classified video of MLB authorities buying some stolen records in a diner. And to top that, after deleting the video, the person sold his blank hard drive to Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez for a reportedly six-figure amount.

Talking to Joe Rogan, Corben said, “Alex actually paid six figures for a blank hard-drive. It had a video of MLB buying the stolen records in the diner, but the guy got nervous and deleted it. Alex still bought a hard-drive. They allegedly sent it around the world to data recovery services and weren’t able to recover it. So Alex is paying six figures for a blank hard-drive, for crying out loud.”

Well, while trying to get that classified video, A-Rod lost his thousands of dollars. Knowing how crazy A-Rod is, had he got his hands on that video, God knows what he would have done with it.
