New York Mets have become a completely different team this season. They are probably the most improved team in MLB, compared to their previous season. And even though, The Mets have been facing some serious injury issues and despite that; the Mets have been a rock in the ballpark.

Ever since Steve Cohen has bought the New York Mets, the Mets have become a force to reckon with. First, they had a very good free agency post-2021 season, and as a result, now they are donning the points table in the 2022 season.

Talking about Max Scherzer, the veteran pitcher is yet to make his Citi Field debut for the New York Mets. Until now, Scherzer has played only two games for the Mets in the 2022 MLB season. And to make his MLB debut, Scherzer has a special request from the New York Mets.

Notably, in November 2021, Max Scherzer signed a lucrative deal with the New York Mets. The two parties agreed upon a whopping $130 million deal for three years. However, right before the start of the season, Scherzer had a hamstring injury, and eventually, he did not play the opening day game against the Washington Nationals.

But now, Scherzer is fully fit, and he looks forward to making his Citi Field debut. Talking to SNY TV, Scherzer revealed that he wants to play in front of 40,000 Mets fans screaming together.

As of now, the Mets have won six out of nine games they have played this season, and that too without their starting pitcher Jacob deGrom. Notably, deGrom is out for a couple of months due to a shoulder injury.

Given the performance, the Mets have one of the most balanced sides this season. And if things go their way, they might end up winning a couple of trophies as well.
