Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez is one of the best to grace the game of baseball. No doubt about that. Because playing for over 20 years of baseball with the same stamina and energy is not everyone’s cup of tea. However, the Yankees legend feels that he could not have played for that long in today’s environment.

A-Rod made his big league debut in 1994 for the Seattle Mariners. Internet was not a big thing at that time. And there was no such craze of social media till 2010-12. A-Rod believes if he is successful, then it is because social media did not peak at his time. Recently, he applauded the current athletes for managing their lifestyles.

Earlier in 2021, when the entire world was suffering from the deadly coronavirus, A-Rod made probably the best move in his post-retirement career. He, along with his billionaire friend Marc Lore, invested in the NBA franchise Minnesota Twins. Recently, his team failed to qualify for the next round of playoffs.

He also expressed that these new generation players want to do more in their life apart from their sporting careers. Because they also want to be an example to their society.

“They don’t only want to be good basketball players. They want to be good dressers, and good investors and they want to be vocal about social issues. All these things that we really want. We were just ballplayers, so my hat goes off to all our players,” added Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez.
