Currently, nothing seems to be going right for the New York Yankees. Be it off the field or on the field, their struggles continue. However, there is some good news to light up the mood of Yankees fans. Recently, manager Aaron Boone shared a positive update on Luis Severino’s form and injury.

The Yankees star made his comeback after a while in the spring training game against the Philadelphia Phillies. And manager Aaron Boone was all praise for the young pitcher. Notably, apart from Gerrit Cole, the Yankees do not have a proficient pitcher in their squad for the 2022 season.

Luis Severino pitched in spring training nearly after 4 years. Notably, the Yankees star had a Tommy John surgery in 2020, while he also had several other injuries in the 2021 season. Even in the 2019 season, Severino missed a couple of games due to injury.

However, Severino made his comeback against the Phillies on Saturday. But the right-handed pitcher didn’t have a good game. Severino allowed three runs on four hits and couldn’t strike out a single batter. In the end, the Yankees ended up losing the game 6-5 to the Phillies.
