Amidst the ongoing lockout and CBA negotiations, MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred shocked everyone on Tuesday when he canceled at least 90 games from the regular season. Not only baseball fans but, it also surprised MLB players. And Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout was definitely one of them.

With the league games being canceled, it must have had an affect on all MLB players. As they never wanted the cancellation of league games. And now, they will have to wait a bit more to play in the ballparks.
When MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred announced the cancelation of league games, Mike Trout came out and sent an emotional message to players and fans.

Mike Trout on speaks out on MLB Lockout after Manfred cancels regular-season games

Earlier on Tuesday, when the deadline given by the owners expired, MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred canceled two series games for each team. Notably, the negotiations between the two parties were going on for the past 10 days. But still, the players’ union and the owners didn’t agree to the new CBA deal.

Taking to his Twitter, the Los Angeles Angels star backed the players’ stand on the CBA negotiations. Consequently expressing that he wants to play games but only if the union gets the right CBA. Trout also criticized MLB Commissioner for the current situation.

“I want to play. I love our game. But I know we need to get this CBA right. Instead of bargaining in good faith- MLB locked us out,” said Mike Trout. “Instead of negotiating a fair deal- Rob Manfred canceled games. Players stand together.”

The Angels star made his stand clear on the MLB lockout and said for the sake of games and fans. The players owe it to the next generation.

“For our game, for our fans, and for every player who comes after us. We owe it to the next generation”, added Trout.

Now, after Manfred has canceled at least 90 games of the regular season, baseball fans will have to wait till April to go and watch games in ballparks.
