To witness Cabrera’s historic 3000th hit, even NFL superstar and Super Bowl champion with the LA Rams, Matthew Stafford was also in the stands. And after missing out on his record hit in the last few games, Cabrera came with a different mindset in the ballpark against the Rockies.

After completing his 3000 hits in MLB, Cabrera, along with Albert Pujols, are the only active players in MLB to do so. Not only this, the Tigers slugger became only one of the very few players in the MLB history to have 3000 hits and 500 home runs.

Not only fans, but the LA Rams legendary quarterback Matthew Stafford also made his appearance in the Comerica Park to witness the historic moment. He also heaped some high praise on the veteran slugger. Stafford said that he considers himself lucky to be in the stands and watch Cabrera make history.

“Obviously, I was lucky enough to be in the stands,” Matthew Stafford said. “And see what a pro that guy has been Miguel for this city for so many years. What a professional hitter! Great guy to be around. So cool to be able to be lucky in the stadium when he makes history like that.”

Earlier this year, the Los Angeles Rams won this year’s Super Bowl by defeating the Cincinnati Bengals in the final. And Stafford had played an instrumental role for the Rams throughout the season.
