From players to fans, everyone is worried about the current status of Major League Baseball. On the other hand, MLB Commissioner has said that there are no changes in the spring training schedule.
Even if the owners and the players’ association agree to the new CBA deal in the coming days, then it is very unlikely that teams will be able to play in spring training. Notably, as per schedule, spring training for the 2022 season will start on February 26. And considering the current scenario of MLB, it is very unlikely that teams will even be able to participate in spring training.

MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred on spring training of the 2022 season
With lockout still in motion, even thinking about spring training of this season is practically not possible. Because as soon as the lockout will end, MLB teams will first hunt for their desired free agents in the market. Players like Carlos Correa, Clayton Kershaw, Freddie Freeman, and Seiya Suzuki are among the top players, who are in their free agency. And none of them have joined or agreed with any team. So if the lockout ends, the first priority for both the clubs and players will be to sign a contract.
