Bruce Lee is a timeless martial arts genius. His speed kicks, powerful punches, and high leg lifts are looked upon with the same amazement now, as it was decades ago. Half a century later, the first Asian–American actor to play a lead role in a Hollywood film, Bruce Lee continues to entertain and inspire people in multiple ways.

The 1972 movie, The Way of Dragon is Lee’s first and last complete directorial movie. The appreciation for, and viewership of the action flick, is only getting better with time. In a recent post on a Facebook page, reminiscing about the iconic fight scene between Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris has garnered unwavering support from fans.

The picture of the iconic battle from The Way of Dragon a.k.a. The Return of Dragon never fails to stir a discussion on Lee’s exceptional skills. The recent Facebook post featuring Lee and Norris in action reminds fans of the sheer brilliance demonstrated on the screen. A fan wrote, “I was afraid to watch this scene for a long time when I was a child. Lee crushed his opponent so brutally. Physically and mentally. It was an amazing fight.”

Whereas, a fan recalled how Lee gave a tough fight to Norris.

“You can see how much faster Bruce was than Chuck no.”

Moreover, a fan gave an interesting byte of information on cats. 

“The cats were always there. Rome Colosseum was loaded with them. They used that as an interesting start of that big brawl. Bruce’s back stretches and fight cry is based on the cat.”

Lee aspired to have the fight sequence against the backdrop of the Colosseum in Rome. He made enormous efforts to materialize his vision due to restrictions at the world-famous tourist spot.  As a matter of fact, he hadn’t thought about movies and acting until 1964.

Acting was never a part of The Little Dragon’s plan. He happened to be discovered by a hair stylist in 1964. Later, he went on to make history by taking his martial arts techniques to a global stage through cinema. One of his phenomenal performances is the climax fight between him and Chuck Norris.

The martial arts legend succumbed to a tragic death a year after the movie’s release, thus, putting an end to the numerous spectacular stunts he had performed in his lifetime. Unquestionably, Lee’s legacy, philosophy, and teachings are here to stay and fans are grateful beyond words.
