It is difficult to digest the fact that Canucks traded their captain. Some fans are downright heartbroken. On the Facebook post, one fan wrote, “It’s a sad day for Canuck fans. So sorry Bo, trading you at the top of your game is just inexcusable. You will be missed so much and I will wear my Captain Bo jersey with great pride and memories of a wonderful captain who was the heart & soul of our team. ❤️😢”
Bo, thank you for your time as a Canuck.
We’ve watched you grow and mature on and off the ice. Not only are you a strong leader, but you’ve been a great ambassador for our team.

One follower was unhappy with the treatment Horvat received during his tenure with the Canucks. They commented, “Mixed feelings. I was never a big Horvat fan until he stepped up this year but remember listening to him get drafted by the Canucks saw and how they glorified him into their future captain while he remained mediocre until now, Seems like a big slap in the face to the fans and even to Horvat. Hope he is treated good in NYI.”

It’s no secret that the Canucks have not been at their best this season. But who would have imagined that they would trade Bo Horvat for Anthony Beauvillier, Aatu Raty, and a conditional first-round selection in the 2023 NHL Draft? the Islanders were in a dire need of a good scorer, and they did not waste time snatching up Horvat from the Canucks.

There is one thing that Bo Horvat fans are definitely not happy about. The Islanders are not in the playoffs just yet, and that could go either way. Beauvillier was not living up to his potential with the Islanders. Hopefully, he will click with the Canucks and end the season with a comeback. A lot of speculation surrounds this blockbuster trade, but only time will tell who gets a better return on their investment. Do you think the trade between Canucks and Islanders was a fair one?
