Despite Living in a Luxurious $51,000,000 Worth Penthouse, Bill Gates’s Daughter Faces Common Man’s Problem

Bill Gates and Melinda Gates’s eldest daughter Jennifer Gates was born in brought up in a household that provided for all of her needs. She went to Stanford University and Icahn School of Medicine, and her parents also supported her in being an equestrian. However, despite all the amenities coming her way, Jennifer Gates wasn’t ever unaware of the problems that otherwise pose common people. More recently, she raised her voice against environmental conditions that have prevailed in her current city, New York.

Jennifer Gates recently bought a penthouse in the Tribeca neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City that cost a whopping $51 million. While she and her husband Nayel Nassar are currently living there, she isn’t bereft of what the outside looks like.

Jennifer Gates recently took to her Instagram stories and shared two different posts by The New York Times and Seasters Jones respectively. Both those posts, and thereby her stories, adhered to the same news about the hazy skies of New York. New York and Los Angeles have always been two of the most smog-filled cities in the US. But the current scenes in New York just show the devastating lengths up to which the pollution has spread in the Big Apple skyline.

Tagging the NY Times article, Jennifer Gates wrote in her first story, “Environmental Determinants of Health”. In her next story, Gates shared the post which read, “The smoke choking New York is a painful reminder that the climate crisis doesn’t affect us all equally. Today there are tens of thousands of unhoused and housing insecure New Yorkers who have no choice but to breathe the deadly air for 24 hours”.

Jennifer Gates herself is a stark reminder that climate change doesn’t affect everyone equally. Her current penthouse, worth $51 million with 8,900 square feet with 3,400 square-foot outdoor space, originally belonged to British F1 star Lewis Hamilton. However, the city belongs to her and every other New Yorker, and everyone has a right to voice an impending issue.

What caused these colorful skies in New York

The New York Times took to its Instagram page and explained the phenomenon in detail. On Wednesday, as the Canadian Wildfires kept raging on, the noxious fumes from it spread far and wide and into the New York sky, coloring it bright orange. The post went on to further explain the wildfires and their increasing numbers in recent times. The grayish haze with a tinge of orange, yellow, or purple, spread far beyond the borders of New York and into the Northeastern states and the Midwest.

It also attached several pictures from various well-known locations in New York City like the Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, and a baseball stadium, all bearing the same hazy skies. Jennifer Gates, who has also previously voiced concerns about various issues like rising mortality rates in young mothers and the importance of being kind, is now tackling the rising pollution of New York in her social media.
