When Simone Biles is not busy slaying in the gymnastics arena, she is occupied with being a full-time mom to her fur babies. As a kid, Biles grew up with four giant German shepherds. However, she now prefers her two small French bulldogs, Lilo and Rambo. While her dogs are her happy pills during her good and bad times, it is one of her babies who is having a tough time now.

However, along with her dogs, Biles also takes care of her fiance Jonathan Owen‘s dogs. While her dogs are French, Owens’s is an English bulldog named Zeus. The two athletes co-parent the three dogs. Biles recently took to her Instagram to update her fans about her baby Zeus’ health.

Simone Biles updates about Zeus’s surgery

The 25-year-old dog mom, Simone Biles took to her Instagram to give an update about Zeus’s health. Sharing a photo of the sleeping dog on her Instagram story, Biles wrote, “Poor baby got his ACL surgery.” In the photo, Zeus was comfortably napping on his brown bed in front of the fireplace.

Going by Biles’s caption, the dog seems to have undergone ACL surgery. The Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) surgery, in simple terms, is a surgery used to treat a kind of ligament tear. For dogs, these connective tissues connect the femur (the bone above the knee) to the tibia (bone below the knee.) Therefore, in case these tissues are ruptured and don’t heal on their own, surgery is performed to aid the healing process.

Zeus isn’t Biles’s first fur baby who is undergoing this surgery. Another one of her dogs underwent the same surgery a few days back.

On 25th January 2023, Simone Biles shared yet another story about her dog. In the said story, Biles shared a photo of her 3-year-old dog who looked “distressed and a little frightened.” Adding a caption to that story, Biles had written, “Poor guy gets his surgery today to repair his ACL.”

With the number of ligament tears their dogs are having, it’s safe to say their lives are as active and athletic as their parent. While Rambo is on his road to recovery, Zeus seems to be joining his little brother, too. Hope the two fur babies are back to full health soon so that they can jump around their house like they usually do.
