Whatever happened in the Beijing Winter Olympics is ancient history, but as they say, ‘after every dark night, there’s a bright morning’. For Mikaela Shiffrin that morning came in the form of the FIS Ski World Cup. The champion finally proved that one bad event doesn’t define the greatest players, it only makes them stronger.

In the finals of the FIS Ski World Cup, everyone saw the champion Mikaela Shiffrin they are used to seeing. While yesterday’s downhill victory secured her a huge lead over Slovakian rival Petra Vlhova, today was her redemption day.
