Mikaela was born on March 13, 1995, in Vail Colorado, USA. Her father encouraged her to pursue skiing at a very young age and the rest was history.

Mikaela Shiffrin and Petra Vlhova both missed the podium
In the Mikaela vs Petra battle to be at the top of the world cup rankings, the Austrian skier Katharina Liensberger clenched the victory. In fact, both of them couldn’t finish at the podium during yesterday’s giant slalom event in Sweden.
