Shaun White Explains Why Tom Brady’s Retirement Situation Wasn’t Same as His-“Can Still Enjoy That Sport Casually”

Fans in the NFL are already excited at the prospect of Tom Brady playing, yet another season. The sensational quarterback’s retirement didn’t last long as he comes back to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He has “unfinished business” in the NFL. While his return has proved to be an inspiring comeback, other athletes are teasing to come out of retirement. Shaun White though is just having the time of his life.
Retired from snowboarding after the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, he is on vacation with his girlfriend Nina Dobrev and has no plans of coming back. Why, because, he reveals how he can enjoy the sport casually.

Shaun White has an interesting take on his retirement
The sensational White retired with three-Olympic gold medals and a host of other medals. As Brady returned to the sport because he missed it, White spoke about enjoying snowboarding, even casually. Snowboarders or skateboarders can enjoy their sport, anywhere they want. As for a quarterback, it is a team game. Although, he can have the occasional experience. But, the feel of playing in a stadium with 60000 people is immense. Brady misses the sport as he returns to achieve greater things. However, White has an interesting take on his situation.

“Because I kinda get to do all the same stuff, but there’s no real pressure. There’s no one like about to give me a score for something, or there’s some situation where I’m really nervous or anxious, which is great,” White shared. “I understand for someone like Tom Brady or anyone else, where I don’t know, what you do go play a pickup game at the local YMCA? Like, what do you do? At least for snowboarding skateboarding, surfing, you can still go enjoy that sport casually. So, I think I’m gonna enjoy this new role,” said White.

White enjoys retirement
He is enjoying this time with Nina Dobrev and is not focused on any comeback whatsoever. Dobrev shared many holiday pictures as they are having the best time of their lives. White finished his last Olympics by finishing fourth but skied down to a rousing ovation from everyone in attendance.

A teary-eyed White couldn’t contain his emotions as the legend of snowboarding left the half-pipe. There are no plans for any comebacks right now. But, in sports, you never know.
