Besides stunning hairstyles and crowd-grabbing public appearances, we also know the British soccer star David Beckham as a free-kick specialist. His long-range passing ability was one of the qualities that placed him in the league of soccer legends. Although it’s been a decade since the English midfielder bid farewell to the sport, no one really got over his insane free kicks. However, his 19-year-old son Romeo has given fans a moment to live in nostalgia and Twitter can’t help praise him enough for it.

Obviously, David Beckham was a treat to behold on the field. Though over the years, his stardom has only gotten bigger and bigger. He won every major league during his long-standing career and post-retirement he became a British Cultural Icon. However, it’s not just popularity that he has earned. As of 2022, Beckham has an estimated net worth of about $450million.

David’s 19-year-old son Romeo Beckham scored his first goal for the daddy-owned Inter Miami II on Sunday. But the special part about the goal was that just like his father, Romeo delivered a perfect free-kick.

It was like watching David become the ‘Dead Ball Specialist’ all over again. Only this time, it was his son doing the actual trick.

With his first goal for the side, Romeo gave fans the perfect taste of nostalgia and they’ll be expecting some more free kicks from him in the future.

While most of the fans were reliving the ‘Bend it like Beckham’ days, one of them compared him with the soccer legend Cristiano Ronaldo.

Appreciating his son’s brilliant free-kick prowess, David wrote on Instagram, “Well done mate, so proud. First goal in a Miami shirt.” Watching his son grow up in his footsteps is the best experience of a father’s life and he couldn’t have been more proud. However, young Romeo replied to his father’s praise with “Love u dad that was for you.”
