A recent video of a ship accident, clashing with a turbine and collapsing, has gone viral. From CCTV footage it is evident that the negligence of the crew caused this catastrophe, which also led to serious injuries. Talking about occurrences, recently the surfer, Kelly Slater shared the video on his Instagram account. Where the ship collided with the bright yellow turbine indicating the carelessness of the staff. Slater wanted to raise awareness to elude any disaster in the mid-ocean.

As a philanthropist, Slater is thoughtful about such irresponsibilities that can cause death. However, the prevention of ocean accidents is not only important for surfing but is also necessary to save innocent lives.

As a surfing legend, Slater is well aware of the extremity of the sport and the risk it bears. He knows about the balance of thrill and skill that it needs. But it is more important to be safe and controlled around nature as it is indomitable. Every year, there are losses of lives on the sea.

Though the video clearly screams for the lack of awareness of the crew, Slater is more concerned about the turbines in the mid-ocean. He wrote, “Will this be a serious issue going forward with more wind turbines in the ocean?”

As the video provides, one member of the crew was present there and if he was attentive enough he could have saved the ship from this accident. But he seemed to be doing something else and looked up just before the clash, which was not fruitful at all. Evidently, the legend’s intention is to prevent any disaster may it be for the ship crew or for the surfers. Slater wants every person on the sea to be safe and sound, and that’s the reason behind his raising awareness for it.
