Kelly Slater is the greatest competitive surfer of all time. He had a phenomenal career, being crowned with 11 World Titles. The surfer is known for his expertise, perhaps the best in the world as well. Slater was only 20 years old when he became the youngest World Champion. Notably, he is also the oldest surfer to perform a ten-point ride in a World Surf League competition.
The Champion surfer was part of the iconic athlete trio which presented at the Oscars, including Shaun White and Tony Hawk. They paid tribute to the spy legend James Bond at the awards.

In a recent interview, Kelly Slater shared some tricks on how not to drown in the water while surfing. This tip comes from the surfing legend, and he has quite a load of experience behind it.

The surfing legend shared opened up about the details of surfing in an interview session with Dan Patrick. Here he talked about the various injuries that surfers go through. Notably, Slater revealed that the injuries which surfers get are of a different kind than normal injuries.
However, whatever the depth of their injuries, surfers don’t usually drown. Kelly Slater then went ahead to give several tips on how to avoid drowning while in the water. “You have to learn how to relax and that’s the whole idea.,” revealed the champion surfer.
