Goodbyes are always hard. Doesn’t matter if you say it to a loved one or to a sport you have given your entire life. For the American track and field legend Allyson Felix, it’ll be not an easy goodbye. However, perhaps that’s what makes it special. Part of the journey is the end, and the world will be forever proud of her contribution to the track and field.
Allyson Felix has led an incredible career. She has made her country proud on several occasions. The 36-year-old has won six Olympic golds in the team event and one gold in the individual event. Thus, making her one of the most decorated track and field athletes of all time.

Allyson Felix to run the last race of her career
The Olympic gold medalist will run in the Penn Relays for one last time. Allyson has already announced her retirement from the track and field and this would a special occasion for the champion. She’ll be competing in the 300-meter event on the final day of the Relays, which everyone, including her, is looking forward to.

The event is scheduled from April 28 to April 30 and Allyson will be returning to the track for the first time after Tokyo Games. Let’s hope her final run is as great as her entire career.

This season is about women
The five-time Olympian has dedicated her last season to all the women. Before making her final run on the track, the legend said, “I really just wanted to do something for women. I have a series of announcements that I hope will make the world a better place for women. I felt my voice was louder while I am still competing and so that’s what I am focusing on.”
