In the last two Olympics, Devon Allen has made quite a name for himself. However, what he did today in the 110m hurdles at Penn relays was simply out of the world. As he added another record to his name, he kept on running even when he crossed the finish line. What he missed at the Tokyo Games, he replaced it with a sensational victory at Penn relays.
In the Tokyo Olympics, he missed a podium finish by four-hundredths of a second. However, this time, he was in no mood to repeat any of his previous mistakes. He simply proved why he is the best in the business. Furthermore, before switching to his childhood dream, he made sure the world remembered him as an ace hurdler as well.

Devon Allen sets a record at Penn relays
It was the best ever performance that the two-time Olympian showcased at the Penn relays. Devon finished the 110m hurdles in a record 13.11 seconds. With this, he overcame his own record of 13.27 seconds in Hurricane Alumni Invitational in Miami-Dade, Fla on April 2nd.

A three-year contract with Philadelphia Eagles
The 27-year-old American athlete recently signed a three-year contract with Philadelphia Eagles. Devon is a former University of Oregon wide receiver and he was planning to return to the NFL for quite some time. However, it was only now that he was able to make the decision.

He said, “It’s now or never because I don’t want to get too old. I don’t want to turn 30, 31 and then try and get into the NFL.”
Allen would certainly be proud of his performance at the Penn relays today. He is a versatile athlete who could fit in whatever role he is given. Though based on his career choices, he surely knows what’s best for him going forward.

As far as the track is concerned, the champion has given enough moments to be cherished. However, only time will tell whether switching from one sport to another works for him or not.
