Sha’Carri Richardson Roars at US Sports Authorities Ahead of Track Season Debut

Sha’Carri Richardson is a name well known in the world of track and field. However, what happened to her at the Tokyo Games was like a bad dream. After losing her Olympic dream, anyone in her shoes would have given up the thought of coming back. Though Sha’Carri is not just anyone, she is indeed the rarest of the rare.

Sha’Carri Richardson rose to fame with her record-breaking performance in the US Olympics trial. In fact, going into the Tokyo Games she was amongst the top favorite to win the gold medal. However, she tested positive for the use of marijuana and received an immediate ban from the Olympics. The 21-year-old athlete accepted the penalty and took full responsibility for her actions.

Sha’Carri Richardson in battle with USADA

As she prepares for the 2022 track and field season, Sha’Carri, came forth with a comment on the US Anti Doping Agency. In her recent Twitter post, she wrote, “When we mess up as athletes, they blast us so why not @usantidoping put them on the point when they’re wrong ?!!!!”

In another tweet, using a bit sarcastic tone, she commented on the way USADA treats its athletes. She wrote, “USADA act more like a PO but they say they care about the sport.”

This could be the season when Sha’Carri gets her redemption on the track. Her track battle with Jamaican legend Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is trending way before the start of the season, and it’s time she brings forth her A-game. As an athlete, the American sprinter has a lot to offer. Earlier, her performances have been more than impressive, though now it’s time that she capitalizes on her potential.
