Thompson-Herah’s personal best this season is 10.89. Nowhere near her best, she looks to break Flo-Jo’s world record in the upcoming World Championships meet. In an interview, she spoke about her ambitions for the season.

“My main aim is to target for the World Championship. I really want to break the world record but I have to see where, when, how, I’m going to do that. That record was set when I wasn’t even born to see myself as a 30-year-old sprinter breaking Flo-Jo’s would be something very spectacular. That would be written all over in the history books, that cannot be erased,” said Thompson-Herah.
