“This Is What Is Wrong”- Sha’Carri Richardson Blasts at Fan for Comparing Her to Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce

The 2020 Tokyo Olympics saw a lot of subplots coming to the surface. One serious situation was Sha’Carri Richardson’s exclusion from the event. She qualified for the Olympics but later faced a ban, testing positive for doping. Soon after, she made her comeback race but finished last in a field filled with the famous Jamaican trio. The 2022 Kip Keino Classic saw Jamaican sprinter Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce win the race. 

 

As Richardson withdrew with no comments, fans took notice of her exclusion as they wondered where she was. As Fraser-Pryce sets the best time for 2022, fans wanted to get a glimpse of where Richardson is. Thus, comparisons have been coming in thick and fast. Despite that, Sha’Carri probably is on a different path and gave her a response.

Will Sha’Carri Richardson return to the track?

The sensational Richardson set the sixth-fastest time back in 2021 as the world took notice of her talent. She had a time of 10.72 seconds to elevate her status amongst the greats. However, her performances went downhill as she could not live up to her hype. With Fraser-Pryce setting a 10.67 at the Kip Keino Classic, fans pondered where Richardson was. Thus, this prompted a fan to ask about her current status on Twitter.

To this statement, Richardson gave her response by speaking about her path and how it differs from others. Sha’Carri mentioned: 

“This is what is wrong with society comparing people journeys’ when everybody has a specific path to walk!!!”

Aiming for the 2022 World Championships?

The track and field fraternity expected her to appear for Kip Keino Classic along with Fraser-Pryce. However, she never showed up. With most of her fans waiting to see what she can do, Richardson’s quest for gold may come at the 2022 World Championships. As the speedy Jamaican look to break the world records, it is unsure what Richardson has in her mind.

She is a gifted athlete with a lot of potential. Everyone remains excited to see what she can bring to the table. Sha’Carri is one of the best sprinters and probably can get back to the podium with an unstoppable performance.
