Also, I almost didn’t grow up in regular society: I’ve always been around all these other superconfident, very successful female athletes, and we allow ourselves space to be however we are.”

Similarly, she has played with other USWNT legends like Carli Lloyd, Alex Morgan, Hope Solo, Lauren Holiday, and many more. She won trophies with these women and paved the way for younger USWNT stars to adopt the same winning mentality. She continued, “I’ve been very lucky to be on incredible teams that win, which gives you positive feelings.”
