Johanna Konta has held the top spot in Britain for a fair amount of time. Konta was born in Sydney, and she represented Australia until 2012. Thereafter, in mid-2012, she acquired a British citizenship.

Konta is an offensive player. She likes operating from the baseline. She has the ability to hit the ball in a fast and flat manner. Johanna has achieved a career-high ranking of 4 in the world and has reached the semi-finals of three majors, the Australian Open, the French Open, and Wimbledon. In the US Open 2019, she made it to the quarter-final stage.

The coronavirus has been the most talked-about issue over the past 10 months or so. The effects of this virus are severe and life-threatening. Citing these issues ahead of the Australian Open, Johanna Konta said, “I think Tennis Australia is trying incredibly hard to make this work well for the players and everyone involved. I do feel for them. It’s very much out of their hands. It’s a government decision.”

Konta is trying to remain optimistic and hopes to see the 2021 Australian Open conducted smoothly. She went on and added, “If we can just play the tournaments in the weeks that they are set in, then that is already a big win. Our first tournament of 2021 is originally scheduled for 4 January, so arriving at the end of December is not too dissimilar to what it would be in a normal year.”
