Team News:

Jason Behrendorff will miss the match against Worcestershire because of injury, leaving Sussex’s bowling less sharp. However, Chris Jordan, Reece Topley, and Will Beer will take command of the bowling for Sussex.

The return of Moeen Ali has been the key to Worcestershire’s qualification to the quarter-finals. Hamish Rutherford will replace Martin Guptill for the last T20I against Sri Lanka. That’s not good news for Worcestershire as Rutherford has been impressive with the bat in this series. While Worcestershire struggled to make it to the next stage, Sussex has played consistently well in the group stage finishing on the top in the south group.

Injury and Availability News:

After Tymal Mills, Australian left-arm pace bowler Jason Behrendorff has been dropped off the season because of injury and it is going affect the Sussex sharks. Hamish Rutherford is going to join the New Zealand national team to replace the injured Martin Guptill.

Weather and Pitch Report:

Although there is a forecast of rain today, fans can expect an uninterrupted match without any delays. It will be a sunny day in Hove. Hove can be called an ideal T20 pitch it favours the batsmen and provides something to the fast bowlers to play with. Spinner can come in handy on the later stage. It’s expected to be a high scoring match today, so both the teams might like to chase after winning the toss.

H2H Record:

The only time these two teams played each other, Worcestershire beat Sussex by 5 wickets.
