Former India player Aakash Chopra revealed a story of MS Dhoni‘s early days. He said that he had shared a room with Dhoni when he was a part of India A team on their tour against Zimbabwe and Kenya. In fact, he also shared the reason behind Dhoni’s long hair.

In an Instagram video shared by Chopra, he captioned, “What’s the story behind @mahi7781’s long hair? Let me share my memorable experiences of sharing a room with this legend almost 15 years ago in ‘HIS-tory’.”

The video said the chat between them when they first met. The former India cricketer shared Dhoni was very polite and simple then. Moreover, Aakash Chopra advised the then new-comer Dhoni to cut his hair or else people won’t take him seriously. But, Dhoni had a better reply.

Dhoni had replied saying he doesn’t need something because soon people will follow his style. His words surprisingly became true very soon. His trademark hairstyle became viral in no time and once former President of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf also praised his long hair.

On the other hand, former India captain MS Dhoni has been in the news since long – be it his return to the circuit or his retirement speculations. Most recently, BCCI also dropped him from the contract list. Amongst all these, he has started practising for the upcoming Indian Premier League and will play for them in the next season as well.

Former BCCI president and the current vice-chairman and managing director of India Cements (owners of CSK), N Srinivasan has confirmed that Dhoni will play for the same team in 2021.

Meanwhile, Dhoni has recently started training where his batting impressed Jharkhand coach Rajiv Kumar. He came to bat for the first time ever since India’s exit from the semifinal of the 2019 World Cup against New Zealand in July last year.
