The gameplay trailer made it extremely clear that, unlike previous editions, Battlefield 2042 wouldn’t merely stick to infantry or tanks. As DICE takes advanced warfare to a whole new level, players have the option of being a ground soldier, operating tanks, flying choppers and jets, and so much more. In fact, out of the 64 players, one can fly the aircraft while others shoot from the passenger seat.

The objective is as simple as previous Battlefield games. BF 2042 will also feature the Conquest and Breakthrough modes. Both these modes will feature the classic Battlefield gameplay as two teams contest to hold and capture points. However, the latest edition of the franchise makes things more exciting.

Players can now call in vehicles anytime during the game, which means no more hunting for tanks or ATVs. Moreover, according to the Battlefield 2042 gameplay trailer, a new feature arrives at the title that lets players edit their weapon attachments on the spot, making the combat more dynamic.

EA DICE had already given a sneak peek into how the weather is going to affect gameplay. As the gameplay trailer arrives, fans finally got a better look at how the storms and the heavy rainfall will change the pace of the game. With the ability to suck in even aircrafts and choppers, the storm will constantly force teams to rotate to different parts of the map.

Luckily, Battlefield 2042 offers players wingsuits to glide across the map or ziplines to go from one place to another. In fact, players can also shoot at enemies while aiming down their sites as they zip across buildings. The game will also put one’s spatial abilities to the test as the harsh weather makes it difficult for players to see.
