WATCH: Kyrie Irving & Kevin Durant Play their Own Game on the Sidelines during the Nets vs Celtics Game

Neither of Brooklyn Nets superstar signings Kyrie Irving or Kevin Durant were in the court when they played Boston Celtics on Friday morning. But the duo were spotted playing their own game on the sidelines.

Durant has not yet played for his new franchise since his move from the Golden State Warriors due to achillies injury and is not expected to be seen in a Nets jersey this season. Irving, on the other hand, had made a blistering start to life in new colours, but has not played the last few games owing to a shoulder injury.

While there’s still some time to go before we see the All-star duo playing together, they played some virtual Basketball on the sidelines during Friday’s game. A video came out on social media where Durant was seen guarding Kyrie.

The game ended in a 112-107 Nets win. The victory was an immediate response by the Nets, who had lost down the road to the Celtics only the other day.

Spencer Dinwiddie led the game for the Nets by scoring 32 points, along with providing 11 assists and grabbing five rebounds. Jayson Tatum was the highest scorer for the Celtics with 26.

Celtics had almost closed in on the Nets in the third quarter when they went 11-0 at a point of time. But the Nets were quick to get back and maintain their lead.

With the win, the Nets have now won four out of their last five games, improving their record to 10-9 in the season. They sit seventh in the Eastern Conference and will be vary of sealing a play-off spot by the end of regular season.

Brooklyn will be hosting Miami Heat up next in another noon game on Monday. The Nets will be hoping Kyrie Irving would be fit enough to play the game.
