The vice-captain of India, Rohit Sharma took a brilliant catch at the square-leg boundary do dismiss the dangerous-looking, Martin Guptill. The incident took place in the ongoing first T20I between New Zealand and India at the Eden Park in Auckland.
The Indian captain, Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to field first. Guptill, along with his opening partner, Colin Munro got off to a flying start by targetting Shardul Thakur early in their innings. They didn’t leave any of the bowlers in the powerplay.
However, the hosts surpassed the 50-run mark in merely 4.3 overs as both the openers started hitting all over the park, adding 68 runs in the first 6 overs. In the eighth over of the match, Kohli brought all-rounder Shivam Dube who successfully broke the opening partnership of 80 runs.
