It is no secret that Sebastian Vettel has a fairly ‘intimate’ relationship with his Formula 1 car. From his early F1 days, he had even named his cars and bonded with them. Now, he has gone even further in his treatment of the car, and it was seen in the last race in Hockenheim.

During a Virtual Safety Car period, an onboard camera spotted Sebastian Vettel pulling out a cloth from his cockpit. He then proceeded to begin cleaning the steering wheel and part of the chassis. Evidently, the Ferrari loved his tender loving care and reciprocated by dragging him to a well-deserved podium.

Of course, one would also understand that if water got in a sensitive area, like the steering wheel which has many buttons, chances are that it could short out. So, Vettel was merely doing what any other normal driver would do.
